No, that's not the guy from Reno 911

Some more on Doves, from the Washington Post:

"Recorded partially in Loch Ness (ooh, creepy), the trio's new album, "Some Cities," the 11-track follow-up to 2002's sumptuous "Last Broadcast," is another lush chapter in the band's epic quest for hope among the emotional ruins. Now, however, the search party is better equipped with janglier guitars, crisper drums and an electronic trippiness that routinely cuts the mounting tension."

New Music -- Long-View

Are you in the mood for some new music today? Something melancholy, perhaps? Then check out this media player from the U.K. band Long-View. They've toured with Elbow and have gathered comparisons to Doves, "Joshua Tree-era U2" (Q) and Verve.

If you like what you hear, they'll be in D.C. on March 31 with Dogs Die In Hot Cars and Phoenix at the 9:30 Club.
